UPDATE!

Just got off the phone with the guy who sold the routers to me (returned my
call within an hour). He told me that some IOS releases require you have
Flow-Control set to NONE (when using Hyperterminal). This turned out to be
my problem!!!!!!!!! EASY FIX!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEESSSSS!!!

My other 2501 worked just fine or should I say input from the keyboard just
fine with Flow Control set to HARDWARE. This is a great little tip which I
am sure others may use.

If anyone is interested in the guy I got my routers from, let me know and
I'll give you the scoop on how much my routers cost. I'm impressed that the
guy was there (calling me back in less than an hour) to support me after the
sale.

Best of all,
Brian
