   Well, um, no.  My current newsfeed certainly doesn't carry
everything, and my site isn't taking everything that my feed
is willing to supply.  I'd say that the process of tailoring
feeds is awkward and inefficient unless you've got software
written to manage propagation (netcom, for all of its faults,
is remarkably good at automating newsfeeds -- they run a
listserv to send requests to, which is far better than the
traditional send-email-to-root-and-wait-for-the-poor-sysadmin-
to-get-around-to-it scheme.) 

   Not having to maintain an always active IP connection so that
my users can call Usenet, Inc(tm) is well worth the expense of an
additional gig of disk to hold the groups (soc,rec,news,comp,
alt.peeves) that they (and I) want to read.
