Hi all,

First I want to say "thank you" to everybody who replied on my first request,
BUT (damn foreign language) I made one big mistake:

> Editor working with DOS:
> at least 8 files
> block operations

   so far it was correct

   What my friend really was looking for was an editor that can sort
   by COLUMNS, not by ROWS, mea culpa.
   This means, you define a column via block operation and the editor sorts
   the rows according to the content of the column selected. This seems to me
   to be a much more sophisticated feature than sorting by rows.

   So, ANY help is very much appreciated.
