At least some of you know of the programs ctags or etags, which build a TAGS-file. This file can be used by emacs or vi (and maybe other editors) to lookup functions, structures or so. Unfortunatly these programs are restricted to a limited set of languages. Does anybody know of scripts, batches or programs to build such a TAGS-file for other languages, i.e. for REXX? Please note where to get them. Thanx-- Dr. Franz-Josef Wirtz Juelicher Str. 299 Physical Chemist D-52070 Aachen Phone: 49-241-962005 Germany

You didn't specify what platform you are interested in. For OS/2, EPM 6's built-in tags support includes support for Asm, C, C++, E, Java, Modula, Pascal, and Rexx. (Other languages can be added by the user if desired.) Availability - anonymous FTP from Hobbes (hobbes.nmsu.edu), in the /os2/editors directory. The file EPMBBS.TXT contains directions and a packing list; get that to see what other pieces you might want to download. It's also on ftp.leo.org, which is local for you; I'm not sure what directory they moved it to. -- Larry Margolis, MARGOLI@YKTVMV (Bitnet), margoli@watson.IBM.com (Internet)
