how to make (next-error) work with UIL compile errors?

Hi folks, I'm compiling a UIL file inside of Emacs 18.57 and then trying
to step through the error messages using (next-error) (ctrl-X `) but emacs
doesn't recognize any of the error messages. Anyone already tackle this
problem?

Thanks,
Bill Smith
