🚀 go-pugleaf

if i do a C-x C-f (M-x find-file) and type: 

  Find file: $SRC<space>

i would expect to see (assuming "setenv SRC /usr/project/src"):

  Find file: /usr/project/src/

but instead i get:

  Find file: /

BUT if i do:
  
   Find file: $SRC/foo.c

All works fine, i edit file /usr/project/src/foo.c

So, substitute-in-file-name works ok but somewhere something is getting clipped.
Any ideas....   i'm seeing this with 18.55.
