HELP! Canadian Copyright laws for print material?

Hello, my apologies for posting this to this group. I couldn't think
of another group who would understand and have experience
with copyright laws w.r.t. artwork.

I am submitting a photograph to a group. They are going to include
my image in their CD cover. I don't know what to write w.r.t. to
copyright or contract. Must I get this signed, witnessed and stamped
by a lawyer? As a poor artist, I can't afford a lawyer. Will a notary
do?

Can someone direct me in the right direction? ASAP?

Thankyou.
