WARNING: Everything that follows may be completely wrong...

You'll need to determine what you need your game to do and then
look at each package and see which one fits. They all have strong
point and all have serious weak points.

You might seriously consider writing your own engine. If that
task it too big then you should think about writing something else
besides a game. I'm not trying to be harsh, just practicle. I
ruin and entire project by relying on one of these 3D API's for a
game. Now we've writting our own engine. It's expensive but it
looks good and runs much faster than any of these others.

None of the toolkits that I've used come close to being usable for
a real good game. The exception to this is BRender which was used
for FX Fighter which is a very well done game.

I've worked with:
BRender
RenderWare
RenderMorphics Reality Labs
3DWare
Pie in the Sky Game Creation System
and a few I can't remember or talk about
