There's a new module available for anon ftp from :
	ftp.epcc.ed.ac.uk (initially)
	swedishchef.lerc.nasa.gov

Its in the directory [/pub]/explorer/modules/CenterRot
Thanks to Dana for uploading....
=============================

I've uploaded a module I created for accurate numerical control over
position and orientation of geometry in the Render module. Its call
CenterRot (because it also has inputs for the center point to rotate
about). I've
seen others in the newsgroup ask about being able to do this, so here's my
solution to the problem. Give it a try.

     NAME
          CenterRot

     DESCRIPTION
CenterRot creates a transformation matrix that is useful as
an input to the optional Transform lattice input of the
Render module. It provides capabilities similar to
TransfomGen except all inputs can be controled numerically.
It was created to overcome the problem of not being able to
save the transformation state of the Render module.

The rotation follows the roll (X), pitch (Y), and yaw (Z)
convention. By default, the center of rotation is the origin
or lower left of the lattice. The CtrX, CtrY, and CtrZ
inputs allow the user to choose another point to rotate
about (for example, the center of the lattice).

     INPUTS
          XformLat -- Lattice (Opt.)
               (2-D, 1-vector, float..double, uniform). For use in
               multiplying successive transformations.

     WIDGETS
          RotZ -- Dial
Rotation about the "yaw" (Z) axis in degrees.

          RotY -- Dial
Rotation about the "pitch" (Y) axis in degrees.

          RotX -- Dial
Rotation about the "roll" (X) axis in degrees.

          CtrX -- Dial
Define the X coord. of the point to rotate about.

          CtrY -- Dial
Define the Y coord. of the point to rotate about.
          CtrZ -- Dial
Define the Z coord. of the point to rotate about.

          TransX -- Dial
               Translation along the X axis.

          TransY -- Dial
               Translation along the Y axis.

          TransZ -- Dial
               Translation along the Z axis.

     OUTPUTS
          TransformLat -- Lattice
               (2-D, 1-vector, float..double, uniform). The resultant
               transformation matrix lattice.
