Hi Folks, I am trying to use the Explorer geometry API: cxGeoTextDefine(text_string, X_font_name); to add annotation to a scene. Specifically, I would like to use the call to print numeric and math symbols like a temperature value followed by a degree sign. The problem I am having is that the cxGeoTextDefine call only seems to support characters with an ASCII value between 0 and 127 even if the X font I have chosen supports characters outside this range. Unfortunately, some of the characters I want to use (like the degree sign) have a value greater than 127. Can anyone tell me how to add annotation which includes "special symbols" like the degree sign for instance? Thanks for any pointers. Tim Scheitlin scheitln@ncar.ucar.edu
