Urgent! i have no problems creating the database, but... when i use the INSERT INTO thing, the problem is that the field is being filled up to it's width with spaces.... for example: if the field width is 5 and i put the value X inside... the result will be: 'X____' how can i avoid these spaces? i tried to re-update the fields and trim the spaces, but it does that everytime.... even if i manually change the database from within Access. please help: es@netvision.net.il Thank you very much!

Try using visdata to create your database, and make the field types variable length that should do the trick (i think) Please tell me if I'm wrong.
