I have just installed Visual Source Safe 4 for better source save
maintenance but encountered a serious problem.
I have a VB project composed of more than 40 files but it works fine with
VB 4 Enterprise. After the installation of SourceSafe4, I have to login and
get/check out the necessary files each time I load the project in VB. But
an error message 'Too many files opened' stopped the loading process. 
What I can do now is get the files using SS before I start VB and maintain
files (checkin,add new files..) manually after quitting VB. I have tried
working a project with less than 10 files and SS4 works perfectly with VB4.

So it seems this is not a problem of either VB or SS. I have also tried
increasing files handle in config.sys to the max. no. 255 but it just
doesn't help.

Now here is the config. of my system :
   Win95, VB4 Enterprise (16bits), SourceSafe 4 (16/32 bits), more than 50
files in a VB project distributed in 3 different directories, SourceSafe4
is installed on a remote NT server.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
