I am using Wikstrom's book "Functional Programming Using Standard ML" in one of the courses I am taking. There seem to be differences between the book and our compiler, which is PolyML. How up to date is Wikstrom - have there been major changes to the language since it was written? Or is it the compiler which is incorrect? We could use NJ ML, but would that be any better? It would be useful to have lists of differences between different versions of ML, and discrepancies with published literature. If enough people write to me, I will collate a list of differences and post them to the group. Martin Watson
