First off...on first glance. It is retrieving the information based on the Id and Name tags. What this means is you can call the code 6 times. There is no need to write it 6 times. For more information on general practices like this try www.irt.org www.w3schools.com www.webreference.com any one of these will have detailed articals on using and calling functions like the one created.. maelstrom "Oscar Garcia" <ggarcia5@houston.rr.com> wrote in message news:LBtw7.32787$Kp2.17582423@typhoon.austin.rr.com... > Can I embed the *same* JavaScript into a web page or .html page etc..? > I want to put this one > http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/scrollc2.htm > I want to put it 6 times into a site with different content etc.. can anyone > please help me? > >

Well first off do you have a good book to start with. You sound like you need to know some basics such as calling functions with arguments. The one I used along with the internet is Javascript Unleashed by Sams...they are on the third edition and it is excellent...but it is more of a test book...so if you don't have experience in programming try any of the sams book in 21 days such as Learn Javascript 1.4 in 21 days...it sounds impossible but these books make it possible...you will learn up to some intermediate features about programming in JS.
