Jared,

Eureka! By using a couple of tools found on the NT4.0 Resource Kit CD, I
can now install and autostart both the rmiregistry and my RMI server
object as NT services. The critical tool is SRVANY.EXE that essentially
is a shell that executes an application and provides the "service aware"
interface. You install SRVANY as a service twice, once for the
rmiregistry and once for the server object. You can specify starting
directories and application parameters. SRVANY is documented in the file
srvany.wri also on the CD.

Bill
