If you still want to keep using the BDE you can use a TDatabase component to
create a temporary alias (instead of a permanent alias in the BDE
administrator).

If you don't want to use the BDE you can use a 3rd party replacement using
DAO or ADO (see http://www.kylecordes.com/bag/index.html).
