Playing against the computer can be boring. The computer is a "good loser". I hat "good losers". A human who's just lost a game does cry, swear and totally freak out. That's funny. So, how can I program a "virtual anger" routine in Delphi, let's say for a chess-game??? The computer should really cry and swear once it has lost. On the other hand, it should make fun of the player after it has won. How to program that???

Guess I'm not funny then. > So, how can I program a "virtual anger" routine in Delphi, let's > say for a chess-game??? The computer should really cry and > swear once it has lost. You're in luck; according to this month's Dr. Dobb's Journal's cover, AI is cool again... (-: There has actually been some research into synthetic emotional behaviour. While the scientist was talking to the reporter, the computer grew gruff over being ignored. You're right, it _is_ funny. I don't suppose simple canned responses would satisfy your craving for abject behaviour? Groetjes, Maarten Wiltink

I turns the desktop upside down, until the user hits an key or clicks the mouse. DoDi
