I wondered if someone has some postscript macros
that allows you to mix postscript fonts pretty
much the same way LaTeX does. For example, in
LaTeX one can use:
$v_{\parallel}$ and $v_{\perp}$
to get v with subscripts parallel and perpendicular.
I want to do something similar in postscript, i.e., v should
be written using the Courier font and the subscripts
should be written using whatever postscript font has them
defined (I noticed the Symbol font has the perpendicular
character but not the parallel).
If isn't possible to do what I want with postscript fonts,
I wondered if someone has some postscript macros
(using movetos and linetos, probably) that would
enable me to draw the perpendicular and parallel
symbols in a subscripted form (i.e., I also would
need some postscript macro to do the subscripting).
Postscript is nice but it has some serious drawbacks.
Thanks.
Roque
