I have a question about some EPS files I received. They were created by Adobe Illustrator 1.1, and have a non-standard preview bitmap. Instead of: %%BeginPreview: 340 107 1 107 They have: %%BeginPreview %%ImageWidth:340 %%ImageHeight:107 %%ImageDepth:1 %%BeginImage:107 I requested the EPSF-1.2 specification from the ps-file-server, and it doesn't say anything about device-independant preview bitmaps. I'm assuming that this is a private format used before the form of the device-independant previews were finalized in EPSF-2.0. But, as some- one who claims to be able to import EPS files, should I have to worry about these anachronisms, or should I go ahead and support them anyway? Thanks, --jtc -- J.T.
