Edward Tufte
Also author of The Quantitative Display of Information. (that right?,
my copy is at home.) EI represents the leftovers of QD (my opinion).
Both are coffee table data analysis books. Quite readable. Very good points.
A bit pricey. Local discussion preferred Cleveland's analysis book.
I think both are worth a look . The keyword in both of these Tufte
books is "ducks." You will only find out what that means by reading them.
