Well, the Prolog Development Center (PDC Prolog) has actually produced
applications which are commercialy available. The main characteristics of
these applications are that they do some planning activities (am I right Per?)
where plans are produced with respect to some rules and the planning is
done following some heuristics. Prolog is with its declarative aspect of
programming well suited for solving these problems. A big part of these
programs are however procedural programming and could as well have been
done in other (imperative) languages, but PDC Prolog provides a lot of
predefined predicates (and a lot of tools), which supports this kind of
programming even in Prolog.

The plans the programs produces are not to be considered as final plans, but
are mainly suggestions for helping managers to do the planning. The 
applications are actually being used in "the real world".
