I called United Airlines to clarify a term of SIGPLAN's discount
for travel to the POPL conference in San Francisco on January 17-19,
and incidentally learned that only eleven (11) of you have taken
advantage of the contract thus far. This is a bit surprising.

--At least 5% discount applies to *every* UA published fare,
	whether or not round-trip.
--These discounts are available through any agent.
--San Francisco is a competitive market, and United has frequent service there.
--Colleagues here, even, had booked other fares in ignorance of the discount.

Have your travel agent contact United's Conference Desk.
Details are in the conference announcement.
(I apologize for the confusing "round-trip" wording there.)

PS: The same deal and comments apply on
travel to PPoPP in Seattle on March 15-16.
