The following scripts for A/S and Frontier provide a quick way of
creating new personalities in Eudora.  This has become particularly
urgent since the decision by Demon to terminate the service that
allowed posting to news without the need for a Newsgroups field.

For posting mail to news, now use the address
mail2news@news.demon.co.uk or the equivalent and modify one of the
ExtraHeader variables in the scripts below
to read:

     set ExtraHeader2 to "Newsgroups: " & title

When you get the dialog, just type in the name of the newgroup.

In the Frontier Script, just run

eudora.PersonalityCreate("comp.mail.eudora.mac")

With either of these scripts, modified with your own settings, in the
OSA menu or the Scripts menu, it will be possible to create mail for
any newsgroup quickly and painlessly.

The newsgroups thing is just one use for the scripts which happens to
be topical.  You can of course adapt them for any use.
