My boss uses Eudora 4.2 on a Mac with an AOL connection to check/send the POP/SMTP based company email. Recently she mentioned that she is having problems with messages not arriving in her POP mailbox (people call and ask if she got the message they sent) or messages that she sends are not going getting to their destination (and are not being bounced back). She blames the mail server, but the same mail server is being used by other people with no problem. In fact, several other people are using Outlook Express on a Mac with an AOL connection to do check/send their company mail and they don't have a problem. Anybody have any ideas? Get an all bytes log of the smtp session. If the smtp server accepts the outbound mail; it's NOT a Eudora issue. My ultimate recommendation is to get a real ISP in lieu of an OSP. Regards, Greg

Agreed. > My ultimate recommendation is to get a real ISP in lieu of an OSP. OCP? :::search through acronym happy-land database::: can't find that. Isn't AOL an ICP (internet content provider) instead of anything else (heck, it's been AGES since I've not been on AOL). > Regards, > Greg This the same Greg from Eudora (who used to use the eudoramail.com web-based interface for mail?) -jsl- -- Please remove the ".at" before the "@" in my email to send email (it's a lot easier to do that than get rid of spam).

OSP, not OCP. Online Service Provider. > Isn't AOL an ICP (internet content provider) instead of anything else > (heck, it's been AGES since I've not been on AOL). *shrug* I don't know what they call it these days. I've always referred to aohell (and perhaps incorrectly) as an online service in lieu of an internet service. > > Regards, > > Greg > > This the same Greg from Eudora (who used to use the eudoramail.com > web-based interface for mail?) Yea. Too much spam; switched to spamcop so it's nice and easy to report dirtbags.
