   route = 1#("@" domain) ":"

The parentheses are groupers, the 1# syntax is a comma-separated list of
from 1 to (arbitrary) members.  Thus this rule matches things like:

   @domain:
   @domain,@domain:
   @domain,@domain,@domain:

   addr-spec = local-part "@" domain
   mailbox = addr-spec / phrase route-addr
   route-addr = "<" [route] addr-spec ">"

Thus a "mailbox" can be something of the form:

   phrase <@domain,@domain,@domain:local@domain>

like:

   Ben Cranston <@wiscvm.wisc.edu,@umd2.bitnet:zben@umd5.umd.edu>

("Oh no, we've created a Finster!")
("You mean monster, don't you?")
("No, his name is Finster!")
