No.

The SMTP client (i.e. the remote end that's sending the 10MB to you) will
not expect any sort of status return from you until it's sent all of the
message (following its DATA command, and your "go ahead").  As you said
(in the snipped bit) it will merely requeue and try again if you drop the
line mid-transfer.
