Don't use an "any" query, since that just shows you what happens to be in
your server's cache.  If you want to see MX records, use "set q=mx".  I
generally use the "host" command:

pasilla:~#97% host madge.com
madge.com mail is handled (pri=50) by inet.dev.madge.com
madge.com mail is handled (pri=100) by fallback.mail.pipex.net
pasilla:~#100% host rrl.co.uk
rrl.co.uk mail is handled (pri=40) by relay2.mail.uk.psi.net
rrl.co.uk mail is handled (pri=5) by mail.rrl.co.uk
rrl.co.uk mail is handled (pri=20) by mx3.mail.uk.psi.net
rrl.co.uk mail is handled (pri=40) by relay1.mail.uk.psi.net

I don't know why your sendmail is complaining about these, as they look
fine to me.
