I have in front of me a copy of the "RSX-11A Programmer's Reference Manual" by D. N. Cutler, dated 10-Apr-72. The only earlier RSX document in my collection is the RSX-11C User's Guide (First printing), dated October 1971. I hardly think that six months constitutes "quite a bit", even if "C" predates "A". In any event, 20 years of leading-edge operating system development is worthy of recognition. If you were to list the most popular operating systems of all time, I am sure that both RSX-11M and VMS would be there. How many other people can claim two on that list? Will he make it three? I am always looking for early RSX documentation and distribution kits for the archives. If you have something from this era that you would like to contribute, please give me a call or mail. -- Alan E.
