[Linux Daze is a Linux event being held at the DECUS Symposium in
San Francisco, December 6-7. Check out the WWW site given below for
more information. Some events are free and open to the public, others
require registration.]
As if the technical content of the Linux Daze at the San Francisco DECUS
Symposium (December 6-7) were not enough, some of the vendors who will
be present at the Linux Product Emporium are going to be offering some
goodies of their own. In no particular order, they are:
A free V2.1 Red Hat distribution for Intel, estimated at a $20. value.
These CDROMs are reserved for individuals who are attending the
Linux seminars and sessions, and will also be available on the
DECUS trade show floor, on a first come, first served basis.
Limit one per attendee, and when they are gone, they are gone.
Reduced prices on a variety Alpha systems on which Linux can be run.
A number of Craftworks V2.0 distributions will be raffled, complete
with 30 days of free support, list price is $90.
50% OR MORE savings in Cyclades serial line controllers, in unlimited
quantities!! This type of discount is usually only given to FIRST TIME
RESELLER and limited to only two units, but for the show it is offered
for show attendees at any unit volume!! Depending on the type of
application, this could mean a savings up to $579. per board.
Additional special incentives are expected in the days leading up the
actual event. As they become known, I will try to get them posted.
