On or about 11 Dec 1995 16:55:46 GMT, Mike Welch (mike@tara.demon.co.uk) did proclaim:
( Hi,
( I've got a 2.5" IDE drive that came out of an Amiga 1200, but now I need
( to copy the contents to a Linux PC. I've got the software side sorted
( out, but I need to physically connect the drive to the PCs IDE card.
Perhaps I'm misreading the above. It sounds to me as though you want
to hook up a drive that has been formatted with FFS (Amiga) into a
PC and be able to read the data? This, as far as I'm aware, is not
possible. Would you not need specially written custom software to
tell the PC how to use FFS etc.? Please let me know how you/if you are
successful. I'd be VERY interested in being able to simply pop my amiga
drive into a pc and read it.
Thanks in advance,
