Regrettably, I only run LINUX, so can't PnP configure the same model
internal USR modem. I have set it to com1 irq4 -- pretty normal.
It works fine with comm programs such as kermit, but when I try to
nail up a SLIP connection to my ISP, it fails miserably. I've tried
everything I can think of, and read every manual on the modem as
well as serial com on Linux. To no avail.

Any suggesttions would be welcomed.
