I'm seeking advice on my upcoming purchase of a tape drive to back
up a PC running Linux.  I'll be doing a full backup of a 2Gb hard
drive (presently 3/4 full) weekly, and doing incremental backups
daily.

Purchase criteria include:

- - SCSI or SCSI-2 interface
- - Internal half-height 5 1/4 or 3 1/2 inch tape drive
- - Likely to work reliably for at least five years
- - Ability to get a week's worth of full and incremental backups on
  one tape

- - Backup speed
- - Anything important I'm leaving out
- - Price

Please suggest models with which you've had a good experience, or
those you would avoid.  Disinterested suggestions on quality
mail-order vendors and pointers to recent reviews in the press would
also be welcome.  Reply to me; I'll summarize.
