I tried bandwidth limiting once -- it began to get annoying when u could only download at 10Kb/s when you are the only person using the DSL connection. But that is my oppinion, Dial up might be different... cheers Graham Daniell wrote: > I am using RH 6.2 and ipchains with IP MASQ to provide internet > access to several PC's on my home network. > > However when one or more people are downloading a file, access for > everyone else becomes very slow. > > Is there a way of limiting bandwidth (or priority or similar) for > individual PC's on the network to allow everyone a fair go? > > Regards, > Graham Daniell
