Every system that I have dialed into using ppp had a set of prompts going. Are you certain that when you dial into your isp using minicom that there arent prompts like login: password: and things like that ? : i have set up my modem and tested it using minicom : and it connects ok (the pc speaker makes pretty sounds etc), : then i see garbage on the screen, so this is working. Yep, you'll see garbage on the screen in minicom when the other side is trying to get ppp happening. : When i try to connect using pppd my log says that connect script has : failed. I have heard that a script for this type of ISP is easy but : I have no experience, could anyone help me with this ? : maybe a sample script or something would be nice. HELP!! The sample scripts that come with ppp version 2.2.0f which seems to be the standard now are pretty straight forward. Try investigating more with minicom to find out what your isp is expecting from your end.
