I am using dip-3.3.7n, and having problems talking to my Motorola Power 28.8 modem. dip seems to think that the modem is busy, the "dial phone-no" command always returns status 3 which is the code for busy line. The "send ATDTphone-no\r" returns immediately with status 0 and nothing happens. I can dial out using either kermit or seyon. In the case of seyon, I had to set the resource "ignoremodemDCD: on" in my .Xdefaults before it started working. Is there a command for doing the same thing in dip? I am using Linux 1.2.8. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, daniel -- Daniel C. Gnanaprakasam Phone: (609) 386-5995 Ext: 127 Matsushita Applied Research Labs.
