Parallel LS120 / printing problems

Hi

I just installed parallel port Imation LS120. After a struggle
learning a bit about modules and recompiling a few kernels (RH5.1
2.0.35 and 2.1.119). Although it was a good learning experience it
still doesn't work properly. Disk works fine (paride, epat,pf) using
either modules or statically in kernel. Both drive and printer on
0x378,7

Problem is that the printer (Lexmark Optra E - 2Mb) seems to just
print a very small amount (part of a page) on many pages. It seems
like it is printing a small buffer amount at at time on each page.
This happens whether or not there is a disk in the drive or it is
mounted or not.

Works fine under DOS though

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Regards
Peter
