Has anyone been able to get a Panasonic KX-P6100 Laser printer working
under Linux???

Im using Redhat 4.2 and no printers listed under this distribution seem
to work with this printer. I can get the light inside the printer to
turn on as if it is about to print then just goes off. As far as I know
it is not a Win95 only printer.

Any help or suggestions at all would be GREATLY appreciated.

If it's not a hassle, could you please email replies.

Thanks!!! :-)

Dave

What, if anything, does it emulate?

Try and find out if it's compatible with a popular printer. If so, you
might be in luck. Also, if the printer uses Postscript, set it up as a
Postscript printer.

As an aside, I tried to get a HP5MP going with Linux. It didn't like
the HP drivers that Red Hat provides, but works perfectly as a
postscript printer.

If all else fails, set it up as a generic text only printer (lousy, I
know, but better than nothing :) ).
