Hi, I'm installing RedHat 4.2. The setup freezes right after the setup for the swap partition. I am selecting the options to setup and verify, hit OK, I see the indication bar filling up, then it disapears and I go to the background screen displaying only what I believe is the number corresponding to the step for the installation: 6A Hardware: P133 1.27 GIG Seagate Internal HD (IDE) Installing 4.2 with original boot floppy and CD. my partitioning map: temp/hda1 / 80MB Linux Native temp/hda2 /usr 500MB Linux Native temp/hda3 /home 620MB Linux Native temp/hda4 swap 16MB Linux Swap I've tried to change the map having the swap under hda1 and I get the same results. I appretiate your help. luis alvarez ubik@sirius.com

Should be "/dev/hda*". Reread the partitioning instructions..... -- /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// David Jeffers Intel Pentium II 233 mhz Vi Powered! I thought it was hung for me, too. Maybe this is all it is. -Kenny -- Kenneth R.
