Hello All,
I am thinking of buying a computer for personal
use (so, what is new?). My personal survey
zeros on the Aptiva of IBM, based on price and
facilities.  But the computer I need to buy
must run with Linux and Xfree. The video card
listed in the specifications simply mentions
`ATI 3D Rage'. I found some indirect references
that ATI 3D Rage uses Mach64, which should be
okay with Xfree. But one of my friends had
failure in installing Xfree with a Fujitsu
computer using ATI 3D Rage.

So, could you please tell me your experience in
installing Xfree with Aptivas having ATI 3D
Rage video cards? Specifically, Aptiva H5F? I
would like to hear both about successes and
failures.
