PLEASE HELP!! I have at least installed NTAS 3.51 eight times on ASUS Dual Pentium/120MHz, 64MB, AHA-2940 for boot drive, AHA-3940W w/ 2 Seagate 2GB WideSCSI HD's! Everything seemed working at first, and I could create a stripped set from those 2 Seagate drives. But every time after I installed sp2, disk administrator would then tell me that the 1st HD was removed or off-line, and the stripped logical volume can not be used! Does anyone have the same experience? I noticed that there's a new AIC78XX.SYS in sp2. I tried to reinstall the original dirver distribution, but system locked up on the login screen fully after the reboot. Also I have to leave the next PCI slot open so that the 3940W can use that slot's assigned IRQ to find channel B. According to Adaptec, this is caused by MB/BIOS design bugs. Can anyon explain why, if that's the case? Many thanks in advance!! Wei-ming Lin p.s. If replied by e-mail, please send to weilin@symix.com
