I am experiencing a most annoying little problem. I recently switched from the Borland compiler to Visual C++ 5 compiler. I cannot for the life of me get any of the common controls to work when compiling under VisualC 5 compiler. However they work fine under the Borland 5 compiler. My understanding is to get a common control you. 1) #include<commctrl.h> 2) InitCommonControls() 3) hProgWnd = CreateWindowEx(0, PROGRESS_CLASS,NULL,WS_CHILD | WS_VISIBLE,19,139,238,8,hDlg, (HMENU) 0,hInstance,NULL); or whichever control you want under MS Vc++5 "hProgWnd == NULL" but the same code under Borland is fine. Do I not have flag set in the compiler? I added comdlg32.lib to the project/settings/link but this seems to make no difference. What am I doing WRONG. --------------------------------------------- Warmest Regards Philip Huskisson.
