Articque Informatique is proud to announce VeGtor 2.5, a bitmap vectoriser (raster to vector converter).

* Goals of VeGtor
 
 VeGtor vectorizes maps, fonts, hand-made drafts, blue-prints, charts...
 VeGtor has been designed by map-makers to avoid hand made digitizing
 of map coordinates. But VeGtor is also a good software for anybody
 involved in vector-based graphics.

* Principle
 
 A bitmap is composed of pixels. When you enlarge a bitmap, you enlarge
 the pixels and get an ugly picture. A line is composed of pixels, and
 if you enlarge the line you will enlarge its pixels too.

 Vector based drawings don't keep pixels informations but coordinates.
 A line is composed of its starting and ending coordinates. Thus, when
 you enlarge the line, you change the coordinates and a line will be
 drawn from the new coordinates.

* Requirements

 VeGtor 2.5 requires Windows 3.0 and higher (including NT, OS/2 or 
 Windows for workgroups 3.x). 
 Minimum hardware requirements are :
 . 386 SX
 . Four megabytes of memory (eight Mo strongly recommended)
 . 4 Mo of hard disk space (VeGtor 2.5 is 1 Mo uncompressed)
