I am finding a converter in C/C++ source code: RTF -> DOC.
And I'm looking for a RTF-reader programm (source).
If there are any web sites or ftp server have good information,
I would be interested in looking at these as well.
Can you help me?
Please respond by e-mail.
Thank you in advance.

Do you have the RTF specification? If you have one, it will not be a great deal to write one. I think what you mean by a DOC file is a plain text file as opposed to a real multi-font, multi-lingual file. RTF embeds almost all the kind of text formatting and specifications. In general if you want a plain text, you can just ignore the things that follow '\<keyword> and just pick up the text itself. -- MAG http:/www.eskimo.com/~mag/index.html /* ******************************************************** To understand recursion one must first understand recursion ******************************************************** */

On the MSDN CD there is a rather lengthy definition of RTF and a sample parser for it. This will read RTF and there is enough of a skeleton for you to put whatever code you want in around it. As far as converting RTF to DOC (?), I assume you want to end up with a Word for Windows file. I'm not sure the Word for Windows file format is documented anywhere, so I think the only converter is the one that comes with Word for Windows. Since the interface to it isn't defined, you probably will end up just calling Word for Windows anyway. It would be possible to write a macro which starts up, opens an RTF file, converts it to a Word document format, saves it, and then either quits or moves on to the next input file. ---------------------------------------------------- pcrowley@mcs.com (Paul Crowley) If I had an opinion, it would be mine alone. ----------------------------------------------------
