I thought the supplied documentation was quite clear on this, but maybe it's
hidden somewhere.
No matter, Microsoft's policy is that you can treat CTL3D.DLL just as any
other redistributable DLL (ie. COMMDLG.DLL). The only stipulations are:
1) It's not modified in any way, shape or form,
2) It's installed **only** in the Windows SYSTEM directory, and
3) Your installation process makes *sure* that a later version is not
   overwritten by your copy.
#2 is one of the tougher ones, because most apps want to keep total control
over all DLLs that they use by keeping them in the application's directory.
The problem is that Windows could get quite confused if there are multiple
versions of the same DLL hanging around.
Hope this helps;
Brad.
