We are thinking of using a commercial C++ library for an upcoming project, and Zinc and zApp are the two leading contenders. I would like to hear from someone who has actual project experience using *both* products (if such a person exists...). Can you give the strengths and weaknesses of each, and which: - did you prefer to use? - had more capability (and in which areas)? - was more extensible once your design runs past the capabilities of the class library My impression of Zinc, at least, is that it would be a good fit to an MIS product, but I found it hard to believe that you could build a robust commercial-quality application on top of it. zApp's demo program seems quite poor, but it seems to get good reviews. -- Will Estes Internet: westes@netcom.com
