Is there an alternative to compiling to assembly and modifying it in order
to align selected data on segment boundaries in Borland C? The reason I
ask this is that I need to be able to preload a segment register with an
address before a loop and be able to assume that the offset into the
segment to avoid extra instructions.

Thanks,
