Hallo netters,
I have three questions regarding programming my video card:
1) Is there a standard way to detect if the graphics card used in a system
can work in SVGA mode?
2) For my application, i need the 800x600x256 SVGA mode.
Switching to SVGA mode 800x600x256, is this the same for all video cards
(Trident, Tseng, ATi) or do i need special code for each of them? If there
is a difference, please give me information on how to set this mode.
(I have an ATi-Wonder XL card my self)
3) I know that a have to use bank switching to fill the video memory.
What register addresses are used for this on an ATi-Wonder card?
Thanks in advance,
Henk Kotmans
