The problem persists. ...snip... We have Windows 95, token ring, Netware 3.11. Not sure which version of client 32 (I remeber going to rev D to fix some problems). We found three areas to check for the problems mentioned: 1) Look at the client 32 settings and turn off anything resembling write cache (oportunistic locking, true commit off, etc). Enforce this via server based policies. 2) Check on the patches for Netware servers. 3.11 needs the shortafx NLM for folder navigation. 3) There is some difference in how client 32 (Both the 95 and the dos/win 3.1 versions) lock at the server vs older Novell protocols (including the MS client). Many applications need patches to function properly. In our case, we use GroupWise as the mail package. It had similar problems to your description until we applied patches designed for client32. Having made these changes we can now create folders and reliably email. Good luck, Tony Rall (not speaking for any large entity)
