We had a similar problem with the 32550 drives deactivating and had them replaced. We were using a 2742 controller and Netware 3.11. I was told, across the net, that some early versions of these drives were not stable under Netware and would deactivate under load. Seagate/Insight did approve the warranaty swapout and Seagate tech support strongly suggested some specific changes in the default drive controller settings.
