I had a problem with my server 2940 adaptec controller and 3 st32550 If I put a terminator on one of the 2 gigs the drive with the terminator would not be found at bootup. So I added a small 1 gig scsi at the end of the chain and terminated that one. Server up and running. Don't know why adaptec would not allow 2940 to be terminated.
